2024 Family Ice Fishing Day
As a service to the community, MYFGA also runs a free family ice-fishing day where everything is provided for the family to have an enjoyable day of ice-fishing on Pickerel Pond.
Fishing on the pond is limited by the State of Maine regulations to those under age 16 so this truly is a place for children.
Holes are drilled in the ice:
Bait and ice fishing traps are provided by MYFGA. Hot and cold beverages and a hot dog lunch are also provided free of charge.
Ice fishing day is a chance for new fishermen to learn the art of ice fishing and experienced fishermen to have a great time with their family and friends. Ice fishing is hot!
This year’s ice-fishing event is on Saturday January 27th
Event times are: 8:00AM – 2:00PM.
